RT @LazioExplorer: Italy has a new Prime Minister - Enrico Letta. Here's how it happened ow.ly/koC0z via @guardian
As promised, kits of my Slanting Plaid pattern with YarnLove‘s yarn are now available! YarnLove has them in her Etsy shop kits, and they are included in a Black Friday-Cyber Monday Sale (with free shipping and gift wrapping). If you know a knitter who would love to knit the stole, the kits are a great option. You get to save on a beautiful knit, and support self-employed dyers and designers at the same time.
You could also buy the gift wrapped kit for a non-knitter to open, with the promise to knit it in January or February, to spread out the gift-knitting a little.
The kit is available in three colors: Cranberry, a gorgeous wine-y pink; Art Deco, a deep teal; and Gossamer, a subtle yet stunning grey/green.
I am so excited for this partnership, because I love her yarn in general, but I also was completely enamored with the combination of this yarn and pattern. The 20% silk in the Emma Woodhouse yarn added a little bit of class and drape helping the stitch pattern show. The color variation was enough to add depth and interest, but not enough to obscure the lace. It is comfortable, light, and soft around the neck, while still being surprisingly warm.
Some more details:
Two sizes are available, either the stole size, which comes with 8 oz of yarn, or the scarf size which comes with 4 oz of yarn. In order to keep the store from appearing cluttered, every size/color combination isn’t listed, but if you want something else just ask Katie and she will be glad to put it together for you.
The pattern is printed as a 4 page booklet on with full color photos. If you would prefer a digital copy, let YarnLove know in your notes and she’ll pass your email on to me. I can send it to your email or Ravelry account. (I will not use your email for anything else).
Sale prices are only available through Monday, but the kits will continue to be offered.
